The Insurance Youth internship program is dedicated to providing local and international students an opportunity to participate in and explore the insurance industry. Through the internship, candidates will learn from industry personnel about the workings of insurance companies and the industry, and will pick up basic skills in management and operational practices. At the same time, the program will enhance a student's ability to conduct research and analysis, as well as help improve his or her public relations skills. In addition to developing business skills and knowledge in the insurance industry, candidates get to widen their horizon via opportunities for travel and independent thinking throughout the internship.
The program is intended to help the younger generation develop a foundation for a career in the insurance industry, and to help insurance companies with the cultivation of future talent recruitment. It helps candidates to develop a network among industry leadership through various networking sessions and also develops a baseline of necessary business skills required for management. This program will serve as an initial training to the future leadership of the insurance industry.
In order for candidates to understand and experience the workings of the insurance industry, we hope to involve them in a diversity of aspects of the business - to include distribution, customer service, accounts, claims, underwriting, planning, marketing, and perhaps policy development.
